Careers Evening at Burnley College
We participated in the highly successful Themis Apprentice Careers Event on Wednesday 26th January at Burnley College. With over 50 leading local businesses talking to over 300 potential apprentices, the evening was a great testament to both Burnley’s forward-thinking business culture and the College’s proactivity in developing the next generation of business leaders.
The Expo style event provided the opportunity to speak to leading East Lancashire Employees, discover the latest apprenticeship vacancies and see first-hand what it takes to be a Themis apprentice. The evening attracted those taking GCSEs or completing Further Education in 2022, as well as those aged 19+ keen to advance their careers or retrain through an Apprenticeship (including Degree Apprenticeships).
Alison Jordan, Audit / Accounts Manager here at MacMahon Leggate, said, “What a great evening! It gave us the chance to interact with potential employees and the College is extremely focused on employability. With me on the stand were Lucas Mcintyre, a Junior Trainee Accountant and Jenna Jones, Administrative Assistant – both currently studying at the College under the Apprenticeship scheme.”
